Chasing The Clouds - Part One. A high peaks adventure exploring the Himalayan Mountains and human spirit!
The best part about Raven Rova is all the amazing people in our community. I say this all the time, it rings true more than ever "you are the fuel in the tank." I believe that motorcycles are vehicles of self-discovery. Many of you know me personally, so you know I'm a dedicated yogi. What we do individually adds up and creates a powerful collective energy.
Last year when Jen told me about her adventure and asked if we could sponsor her with gear...I said yes! Jen went on this adventure filming the motorcycle documentary series, The Wheels of Awakening. Seeing the photos her friend captured, I felt like my vision for Raven Rova's ADV gear was fully realized! Of course, this is all part of a much larger story. The photos capture their journey for the documentary series. The Wheels of Awakening is due to release later this year, check it out!
Before I share Jen's words, I also want to acknowledge how much of a lift this was for me personally. The last few years have been a bumpy ride, 2025 was rough. It has taken every ounce of perseverance and support from my family and friends to survive. I know a lot of people can relate right now. We have got this my friends, we are more powerful together than we can imagine. So, let's kick inspiration and new beginnings into high gear!
Thank you Jen and everyone on this adventure for your much needed dose of inspiration! Without further delay....Chasing the Clouds - Part One.

This was my favorite photo, can you tell me where it was taken ?
“This was Kardung La road. Coming down the mountain from Kardung La into Nubra Valley. We were going into Diskit where the big buddha was.”

This Maps screen share says it all: 17,582 ft elevation! To put this into perspective, the peaks around Lake Tahoe top out between 9,000-10,000 ft. Now I've been on ALL the mountain roads between Wisconsin and California and those feel epic so I can only imagine how these feels....

Better with a buddy! Jen and her friend and driver Greg on the mountain. I mean look at this !
This adventure took our riders through all seasons in one day! With high mountain peaks, it's snow and cold temps year round. The lower valleys can bring sweltering heat, the same day. Adaptable gear was critical! When we were getting her outfitted, we texted a lot about the best base layers, boots and packing strategy! (I'm a fashion designer, I LIVE for this!)
Let's take a moment for the gear. I sent Jen a box of gear to try on so we could get her size and fit just right. The Falcon Jacket was a great choice because it's extremely versatile. The quilted thermal liner zips out. Combined with cozy base layers, it was perfect for the cold temps. Jen tried a couple styles of our pants, the Raven Pants fit her the best. I sent her 2 pairs so she was prepared with dry gear at all times. Again, paired with cozy base layers they are wonderful in the cold. In the heat, the triangle vents can't be beat! Personally, I love the stretch in the Raven Pants. One of our reviewers said, "They actually get more comfortable the longer you wear them."
Look at this stunning valley! Wow.

I can feel the awe coming off this photo, the lush valley, weathered prayer flags in the breeze. We yogis talk about "Phrana" the energy of the universe. Taking a thoughtful, deep breath connects us with that energy. This photo embodies it in every way. On a more physical level, imagine you're on this ride. Being able to take off a layer, lighten up your kit on the fly is so important. There's no flipping on the AC on your motorbike, you have to deal with the elements.

High Peaks Inspiration at 17,688 Ft! "Please Do Not Climb On It"
Enough about the gear, let's hear from Jen:
First of all, what’s your favorite thing about motorcycle riding ?
My favorite thing about riding, I love being a passenger, it is very meditative for me, and even when it's complete chaos there is just a sense of freedom, and being completely in the moment.
How long have you been into motorcycles and where/what do you normally ride ?
I have only rode in India, and its always Royal Einfield

Can you tell me what inspired you to go on this journey ?
In 2012 I saw the film premier of The Highest Pass, Adam the film maker and my now Guru, Anand Mehrotra were there for Q & A. I was awe struck by the film, for some compelling reason. I had my then 5 year old son with me, I remember they were outside when we were leaving, I was going to take him to the arcade to ride the motos there, and I told them how amazing I thought the film was and said, "I don't know what it is, but I don't love snow, and I don't ride motorcycles but I was so drawn in to your movie." Adam told me they will be doing another moto journey sometime in the future and I should come,
"The journey awaits," he said and I never forgot that...then I told everyone I knew to go see that, and I went 3 more times, bringing my co-workers and my family.
What inspired me to go on this journey was my last journey The Road to Dharma, I missed the thrill, the awe, the presence of my teacher, and the freedom of the ride!
That's it right there! "The freedom of the ride" I know we can all relate to that feeling, whether you're scootin' to work or chasing the clouds on a mountain top.
Stay tuned for Part Two...especially all you Wisconsin and California readers because there are cows!
