Pause and Breathe! Raven Rova founder Karleen's Update

Hello! 

Wow thank you for the support with the big sale! Don't worry, Raven Rova is not going anywhere. 

Karleen, our founder, is working on organization behind the scenes. We hope to resume sales in the next week, sales will be on Etsy. The pause is because Karleen is a one-woman-show and she needs time. She's currently reviving the Etsy shop! You can follow it now, you'll see the progress. Raven Rova on Etsy

Before starting Raven Rova in 2018, Karleen was very involved in the maker community. Part of a collective in SF and partnered with local art galleries and boutiques. The focus on sustainable, ethically made products has always been our core. Our motorcycle gear is hand built by a small team of expert craftspeople, in a CE certified facility. Family owned. The dyed and sewn items are made by Karleen. Yay for humans! 

What's next ?

First up, some inspiration! We're sharing the story behind these amazing photos. I hope the first entry is ready for next week! Our sister of the road, Jen D. went on this amazing adventure filming the upcoming documentary series "The Wheels of Awakening" in the Himalayan Mountains! How rad is she posing in front of this mountain!

Moto gear

Leather gear is our focus moving forward! We've got a nice collection of black leather Raven Jackets, and a few of our nearly sold out Phoenix Jackets. 

I'm retiring most of the textile products. Perhaps "sabbatical" is the better word. With the cost of tariffs, it's too expensive to keep making them at this time. I am partnering with a well known non-profit on a big donation of surplus too, more on this soon! If you did not order your Falcon Gear or Raven pants. More art and design!

Bringing back some of our best sellers! Karleen is a maker, she's been sewing and dying for her whole life. We're bringing back our favorite items and introducing new ones. Stay tuned! Silk dyed scarves, our famous leggings, breezy summer dresses, woven blankets and some of Karleen's magical draped dresses and skirts. Collabs with local artists! She's also cooking up a utility apron, inspired by family traditions...and super messy tie-dye practice. 

Are we staying on Shopify ?

As of today, April 8, 2026, we're starting to migrate away from Shopify. We will host our website here for a couple more months until the transition is complete. They started small in San Francisco, but have grown and cater to larger, higher volume retailers. Karleen, our founder is a designer and one-woman-show. Taking it back to Etsy is the sustainable way to keep Raven Rova rolling and growing.
